What is Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is Google’s opportunity for website owners (“publishers”) to make money by allowing Google to show advertisements on their webpages.

Google Adsense is tied in with Google AdWords. Together they form a vast network of websites and advertisers. This network allows website owners to show text advertisements, (animated) banner advertisements and hyperlinks on parts of their websites. Through Google Adsense, the publisher receives part of the CPC (Cost Per Click) and CPM (Cost per Mille) revenue, every time a visitor clicks on an advertisement or loads an advertisement in their browser.
